Anna Hazare's Crusade against Corruption

Anna Hazare’s Crusade against Corruption
Prof Dr P Chandra Sekharan
I hail Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption with a rider. His fight against corruption is only one side of the coin. He should primarily fight against the ‘corruption-makers’. The people of this nation who want to get things done by giving bribe to officials or politicians are the sponsors of corruption. They are the producers of corruption for self benefit depriving the deserving others from achieving their rightful goals.
It is surprising that officials and politicians who are embodiment of corruption vie with each other to support Hazare. They use his platform to settle political scores. It was indeed a shame that a popular TV channel, at the expense of Hazare, is projecting a most corrupt politician chiding against an equally corrupt politician to gain electoral advantage. Kettle is calling pot black. I was also shocked to see in the TV clippings an unscrupulous police officer shouldering Anna Hazare.
Anna Hazare’s campaign is a holy war. Let not his campaign is polluted by self seeking corrupt elements and selfish media maniacs.
